Really Don’t Care live (

Christina Perri - Burning Gold (live 09/06/2014)
So, for the first stop of the tour, Demi and friends found themselves in Baltimore. I will start by saying this was a very entertaining concert. First up was MKTO (I couldn’t really get any good pictures of them), and they were pretty awesome. I have to say, the younger me was proud seeing Tony up there preforming, he used to be one of my favorite people when As the Bell Rings came out. Malcolm was just a ball of energy jumping around everywhere. At the end of their performance, the duo when to jump of the little stand the drum was on, and poor little Tony didn’t jump high enough and fell.
After they finished, Spencer West came on to speak. His story was very touching, and his cheer leading skills are mighty fine. I missed half of his speech, so I can’t add anything more to him sadly.
Next up we had Christina Perri. I’ve always liked her, she’s very talented, but her performance made me just absolutely love her. She was just overwhelmingly adorable, between her dorky dancing and her impersonation of Ed Sheeran (who was also in Maryland for his own concert that night). Her set was very, in my opinion, laid back and calm, it was nice. And the light set up they had was extremely beautiful.
And lately, we had Demi. I could go on and on for her, but I’ll keep it as short as possible. So she started with ‘Really Don’t Care’ and since Cher Lloyd wasn’t there, Demi had to fill in her part (I was honestly hoping Christina was going to come on and sing in her place, but you can’t always get what you want). As she went on to talk to the crowd she was talking about the Baltimore aquarium and her lover for sharks. Then she went on talking about a poster she saw in the crowd that she had mistakenly read it was ‘Demi is a chicken’, she made it clear she was not a chicken, but she never got to read what it really said. So with the Shazam Sweepstakes going on, Demi and her band didn’t have time to rehearse one of the songs because the song they were going to sing was only picked earlier that day by the winner. So as she was preforming the chosen song (I can’t remember what song it was now), she couldn’t think of the lyrics, but no need to fear, the fans soon joined in and helped her out. At one point while talking, Demi used the word ‘Fuck’ and not that there’s anything wrong with it, but the amount of small children at the concert made a lot of fans giggle at her word choice. During one of her songs, Demi was trying to get her jacket off, but she was really struggling, it got to the point where she had to get one of her dancers to take it off for her. The look of panic in the dancers face was very amusing. By the way, speaking of the dancers, their dancing was absolutely wonderful. It was amazing watching them twirl around the stage.
So to wrap this up, every song preformed was well played and just amazing. While there were a few hiccups, I believe this just added to the cuteness of the concert and it was a well done concert overall. I’m very happy I could be there for the kick off to the Demi World Tour.
